Answers to common questions about Loonr
Loonr is a free website with six salary calculators for the Netherlands: gross to net, holiday allowance, hourly wage, minimum wage, pay rise and 13th month. You see your net pay right away, without an account.
No. Every calculator is free and you do not need to sign up. The site is paid for by ads, which are never placed inside the calculator itself.
We use the 2026 tax brackets, tax credits and minimum wage. We do not know your pension premium, travel allowance, company car or collective agreement extras, so your payslip can differ a little. Treat the result as a good estimate.
Not by us. Everything is calculated in your own browser. Your browser only remembers your last inputs so you see them again next time. “Clear my data” under the calculator removes them.
From official sources: the Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax Administration) for rates, tax credits and the special rate, and the Dutch government (Rijksoverheid) for the minimum wage and holiday allowance. The links are below the calculator.
Every January, when the new tax rates start, and on 1 January and 1 July, when the minimum wage changes. The calculator always shows which year it uses.
Yes. The whole site is available in English, with the Dutch terms you see on your payslip. Loonr does not calculate the 30% ruling.
