1. Who we are and what data we process
Loonr (loonr.nl) is run by Saeid Ben Amar, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, who is responsible for this data:
- Visitor statistics: when you visit, our server stores your IP address, your country and city (derived from your IP address), your browser and device, the referring website and the pages you view.
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject, message and the IP address you send it from.
- Cookies: a session cookie, the cookie with your cookie choice and cookies from Google AdSense and, if enabled, Google Analytics (see section 5).
2. Why we use it
We use this data to:
- count visitors and protect the site against abuse (legitimate interest);
- reply to your message (your request);
- show ads that keep the site free (with your consent where required).
3. Your salary stays in your browser
All calculations run in your own browser. The amounts you enter are not sent to our server and are not stored in our database. Your browser does remember your last inputs (in localStorage) so you see them again next time. That data stays on your own device. Remove it with “Clear” or “Clear my data” under the calculator, or by clearing your browser data.
4. Sharing with others
We do not sell your data. To find your country and city, our server sends your IP address to the service ip-api.com. Google AdSense shows ads and may set cookies and process your IP address for that. If Google Analytics is enabled, Google also processes usage data for statistics. Visitors from the EEA and the UK see a consent message from Google for this. See also Google’s privacy policy.
5. Cookies
Functional: the session cookie PHPSESSID (until you close your browser) for your language and the statistics, “cookie_consent” (1 year) with your choice in the cookie bar and “lang” (30 days) with your language on the blog. Advertising: Google AdSense cookies such as __gads and __gpi. Statistics: Google Analytics cookies such as _ga, only if Analytics is enabled. You can refuse ad cookies in the cookie bar and delete all cookies in your browser settings.
6. Retention and security
We keep statistics and contact messages no longer than needed for statistics, security and handling your question. The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and only the administrator can access the admin panel.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may access, correct or delete your data, object to the processing and withdraw your consent. Send your request through the contact form. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). If we change this policy, the date at the top changes.
