Pourquoi Loonr existe
Who is behind Loonr?
Loonr is built and run by Saeid Ben Amar from Amsterdam. Saeid is an architect and IT specialist with more than twelve years of experience as a network engineer and IT entrepreneur. He built Loonr after noticing first-hand how hard it is to read a payslip, a job offer or a letter from an agency and work out what you really keep or are entitled to.
Who is Loonr for?
Loonr is made for employees who want to know what is left of their gross salary, and anyone who wants to check a payslip. The tools work out gross to net, holiday allowance, hourly wage, minimum wage, pay rise and 13th month for you. We also publish articles that explain how the rules work, with examples in plain language.
How we calculate and check
All amounts and percentages come from official sources: the Belastingdienst (wage tax tables, tax credits) and the Dutch government (minimum wage). We update the figures as soon as new rates are published, usually in January and July, and show the date of the last check at the bottom of each page. Spotted a mistake or an outdated amount? Tell us through the contact form and we will fix it as soon as possible.
Independent and free
Loonr is independent: we are not linked to any employer, benefits agency, insurer or advisory firm. The site is free and paid for by advertising. Ads never influence the results or what we write. Results are estimates, not personal tax, legal or financial advice; for your own situation, contact the Belastingdienst, UWV, the Juridisch Loket or an adviser.
